Prof. Monteiro Elected to National Academy of Engineering

SBB2 Theme C Lead Principal Investigator, Professor Paulo Monteiro, has been elected as a member of the 2020 National Academy of Engineering (NAE) class for his "contributions to the science and nanotechnology of concrete for sustainable construction and durable structures."

Established in 1964, NAE is a private, autonomous, non-profit organization that offers its engineering and technology subject matter expertise to the federal government. As its membership consists of more than 2,000 peer-elected, high-ranking members as well as global members in private, public, and educational industry sectors,  election to NAE membership is considered as a high professional recognition for an engineer.

SBB2 PI, Prof. Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli, is also a NAE member for his "computer-aided design of integrated circuits."
